Euskal Lagunak, the Basque Club of Elmore County and surrounding area, is holding its 50th picnic in 2010. In honor of our anniversary, we would love to invite the public to join in our celebration! The unofficial start time for the event is noon with chorizos and beverages available, however a traditional Basque Dinner will be served from 3pm-5pm. meal is complete with Lamb, Basque Rice, green salad with Basque salad dressing, bread, red beans with chorizo, and dessert. Youth and Adult games will begin after dinner, and the Oinkari Basque Dancers will perform at 8pm. Starting at 9pm the party continues with a street dance complete with live music provided by Amuma Says No.This year we are doing something special for our 50th!! We are sending two lucky winners to the Basque Country!! Here are the details:We will be selling commemorative bottles of wine for $20 per bottle. The purchase buys a great bottle of wine with our 50th year label, and a raffle number printed on the bottle is entered into the drawing for the trip. Its that simple, and this way, everyone is a winner. The raffle winner will be announced at the picnic!! The trip is scheduled for July 2011. It is 12 days and 10 nights, and the winners will tour 5 of the 7 Basque provinces. The trip also includes airfare, transfers, hotel stays, daily breakfast, dinner and services of a tour director.
